Thank God for Apple Pie!

Thanksgiving, for me, is one of the most special days of the year! On this day you have the opportunity to give thanks for all you have — to give thanks to your loved ones, your partner, and your family!  There’s no better way to show them your appreciation than by making them a delicious dessert for Thanksgiving!

This apple pie is one of my favorites! Not only for its incredible flavor, but because of how simple it is to make. It will make your friends and family think you’ve taken professional cooking classes, hahaha. One piece of this pie and your guests will be salivating and begging for more!

I had to pick up a few utensils to make my dessert, so I headed straight to Burkes Outlet — my favorite go-to store for pretty much all my cooking and home décor needs!

It started out as “O.K. I will go in for only 5 min and buy what I need.”  An hour and a half and 10 shopping bags later, I left with a bunch of Thanksgiving decorations that I just LOVE!

I know it wasn’t in my plans, but every time I shop at Burkes I always find the best selection of items for both my kitchen and my house. This store is one of my favorites in terms of decorating for special events. They always have everything I need for any occasion — and most importantly — at unbeatable prices!

  4. 1/2 cup of brown sugar

  5. 1/2 cup of pecans

For filling, combine dice apples, juice of two lemons, 1/4 cup brown and cinnamon to taste in large bowl. Toss until coated. Arrange apple mixture in pie crust. Top with remaining pie crust cut in horizontal pieces using a sharp knife. Add some pecans and honey to the pie as well! Bake for 30 to 45 minutes!
